Best Time To Visit

Solang Valley is known for winter sports. Hence, December to February is the best time to enjoy the sports here. Skiing in Solang Valley is famous all over the country. So if you want to come especially for skiing, you can come between December and February. If you want to see the melting snow of Solang Valley, then you can come in the summer months. The Valley is open for tourists from 10 am to 6 pm, and they can easily roam around for three to four hours. Photography is free, but tourists must pay for activities such as paragliding, which costs  INR600 to INR1800 per person. Zorbing and ropeway rides also have a charge of INR500 per person.

Snowfall 

When planning a trip to Solang, it's crucial to remember that crystal snow appears in early October. How To Reach

To reach Solang Valley, tourists have all options, including Bus, rail and air. Here are the details of all mediums given below to reach Solang Valley.

1. By Bus 

Delhi is about 563 km from Solang Valley, and first, from Delhi. After reachig Manali, tourist can reach Solang by cabs, taxis etc. This overnight journey takes about 12-13 hours. The best way to travel from Delhi is by Volvo bus, which usually starts from Kashmere Gate in the evening. The ticket price usually ranges between INR 1000 to INR 1600. 

2. By Train

Joginder Nagar Railway Station is the nearest station and 175 km from the Valley. It is 347 km from Ambala and 327 km from Chandigarh. Usually, tourists prefer to come here by Train. Tourists can also reach Solang by Train. After getting to the hill station, book a taxi from Manali to Solang Valley.

3. By Air

The nearest airport to Solang Valley is the Kullu-Manali Airport, located at Bhuntar and about 63 km from Solang Valley. One can hire a car or taxi from the airport to the Valley. Getting to Solang Valley from the airport will take 2 to 2.5 hours.

Taxis and buses are available for travellers between Manali and Solang Valley throughout the year. Manali to Solang Valley taxi fare is INR 1500 and INR 2000 per vehicle. Private taxis and government buses are available from Manali Bus Stand to Solang Valley.
