Deodar Manor is a beautiful bungalow resort nestled in a lovely region of the Himalayas, surrounded by forests and clean, fresh air. The property is located on Gurbachan Orchard Estate in Khajjiar on the way to Dalhousie in Chamba Valley. The place offers a delightful stay and ideal for spiritual peace, cozy and vintage retreats, getaways from the hustle and bustle of the city, nature experiences, and calm milieu.

Sardar Hanut Singh Bal, the fourth-generation owner of the property, is managing the property along with his staff and serves homely experience to their guests. He has several years of working experience in the hospitality industry in Canada that inspired him to come back home and run his own business. He is fond of mountains and a nature enthusiast, which is why he enthuse people to connect with nature.

Deodar Manor is a heritage boutique bungalow with seven big spacious bedrooms, verandah, and a backyard that opens to the view of the Himalayan mountains. It is located in a lovely region of the Himalayas with plenty of opportunities for walking. The bungalow has marvelous scenery that can be viewed from the spacious deck, verandah, and the windows of the rooms. It maintains the highest standards for comfort and cleanliness.

It facilitates services like car parking, guest services, arrival/departure lounge, luggage storage, porter/bell service, wake up calls, in-house dining, non-smoking property, barbeque facilities, a bonfire on request, recreation facilities, etc.

Rooms

The manor consists of spacious bedrooms with classical décor, which has modern attached bathrooms. Every room in the property is unique and has given a touch up in a very eclectic old fashioned style. The residential manor induces a sense of nostalgia and a fragrance of forgotten years. Heritage Room - Mountain View

The Heritage Room comes with a balcony that gives elated and stunning mountain views. It features complimentary Wi-Fi, bathroom amenities (free toiletries), BBQ, electric kettle, flat-screen TV, hairdryer, in-room heater, private bathroom, room slippers, tea/coffee maker, washing machine, etc.

Heritage Economy Room

The Heritage Economy Room is no less beautiful and spacious, which features complimentary Wi-Fi, bathroom amenities (free toiletries), BBQ, electric kettle, flat-screen TV, private bathroom, room slippers, etc.

Food and Menus

The mansion sources their produce from local vendors in Himachal and emphasizes to get organic whenever possible. They use all the ingredients like grains, pulses, lentils, and cooking oils of the finest quality. They offer a wide variety of menu for both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food.

There are some rules imposed by the property which needs to be followed:

• Deodar Manor is strictly a non-smoking property.
• There is no accommodation facility available for the drivers/chauffeur/maids/servants. Otherwise, they can assist in finding nearby accommodations.
• They do not serve alcohol, but adults can bring their own if they want to consume. The guest will be evicted from the property in case of any misconduct, causing disturbance to others in an inebriated/ intoxicated state or causing any damage to property.

The mansion is about 650 meters from Khajjiar Lake, which is approximately 10-minutes’ walk.
